Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Shapiro has performed over 2600 Shoulder surgeries and 3600 Knee surgeries, establishing himself as a true expert in his field. His exceptional work has not only improved countless lives but has also garnered recognition, including the Patient Safety Excellence Award and a position on the Health Grades Honor Roll. Dr. Shapiro has also demonstrated his commitment to advancing orthopedic knowledge through authored publications and presentations on various orthopedic topics.

Beyond his private practice, Dr. Shapiro has held influential positions, including the role of former Chief of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. He has also contributed his expertise as the team physician for the Florida Launch, a Major League Lacrosse team.

Dr. Shapiro is affiliated with esteemed medical institutions, including Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Delray Medical Center, Boca Regional Hospital, and Delray Beach Ambulatory Center. He is recognized as a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedics and remains an active member of the Palm Beach Medical Society and the Florida Orthopedic Society.
